Where do I go for research?
There are many resources available in Delaware for both primary and secondary source research.

Visit the Delaware Historical Society Library and Archives!
The library and archives collects, preserves, and makes available to the public information about Delaware's history. Plus, the Delaware Historical Society has evening hours every Monday and Saturday library hours on the 3rd Saturday of every month. The library staff will be more than happy to assist any NHD students! (Make sure to double check the hours and times before coming to visit.)

Nominate a teacher for Teacher of the Year Do you have an outstanding teacher who deserves to be recognized for their dedication and hard work? If so, submit his/her name for consideration for the Delaware Teacher of the Year. Our outstanding exceptional teacher will be announced at the state competition in April. E-mail your teachers name and why you think he/she should be the teacher of the year to kpeterson@dehistory.org or call Kathryne at (302) 295-2388.

	Communicate with other NHD students The NHD Forum provides access to the NHD community across the country. Students can post questions, comments and concerns and share experiences with other students working on NHD projects as well. To sign in: http://www.nhd.org/forum/
Support NHD To support National History Day (they provide support to all of the state programs) please write, call or e-mail your elected government officials about your positive experience with History Day! You can find the contact information for your federal representatives by visiting http://www.congress.org and your state representatives at www.state.de.us/gic/yourgov.shtml. Don't forget to send copies to us at the National History Day in Delaware program!
