Why should I support the Delaware Historical Society when there are so many other important charities that need my help?

History matters! The Delaware Historical Society is the largest private institution in the State collecting, preserving and sharing our collective heritage. In addition to hosting library researchers and museum visitors, the Society is one of the largest providers of student programs in the First State, and the home of National History Day in Delaware. Your membership support helps us to preserve and present priceless collections and allows us to keep telling all of the ever-expanding stories of Delaware’s past and present. Today is already history!

The Delaware Historical Society also provides a wealth of entertaining and educational exhibitions, programs, events and publications that aren’t available from any other organization in the State.
